Bridgette Wood
Bridgette began her career at Swiss Re over three decades ago and has been employed in key roles with Lombard Insurance Company (Pty) Ltd, Coface Insurance Company South Africa Ltd and Credit Guarantee Insurance Corporation of Africa Ltd. Her broker experience includes both local and international broking where her expertise produced significant growth in both the trade credit and surety areas, catapulting them to market leader status under her leadership.
Throughout her career, she’s gained expert knowledge on the classes of surety business, reinsurance arrangements, underwriting, debtor assessments, business risk analysis, claims management, and numerous bespoke policy structures.
Bridgette is widely considered South Africa’s foremost trade credit and surety specialist.
Sumintra Damba
Sumintra’s career in trade credit insurance began at Credit Guarantee Insurance Corporation of Africa Ltd, followed by a transition to broking at Alexander Forbes in 2007.
Her tenure at Alexander Forbes saw her rise to Divisional Manager of Trade Credit, where her persistent work ethic and enthusiasm for exceptional client service led to significant division growth, and strengthened client relationships.
Sumintra’s experience handling some of the largest claims in South African trade credit history has provided her with unparalleled expertise, which she now brings to Edge Risk Partners.
